A graceful feathered ruler of the sky
A magnificent creature who's beauty is sheer terror
Onyx talons with a grip greater than that of any vice
A glistening beak sharper than that of any blade
Brilliant wings faster than that of any arrow
And golden eyes that can pierce the heart of any soul
A true raptorial bird of prey
A shining spirit who's awe is revered
Adored for its beauty
And feared for its power
Loved and hated for its position ins nature's noble hierarchy
Its demand for respect was rightfully so
And yet so rightfully respect it demanded not
For this reason they sought to take its rightful place of power
To purge it from their existence and steal its glorious crown of power and beauty
And so in the dead of night they set its peaceful forest ablaze
To reduce it to a smoldering heap
But as the fires burned
They shook in terror as the shrieks of its burning pain rose above the smoke
As the inferno burned low
The flames subsided
Embers grew cool
As man tried to take the thrown
And at that precise moment in an explosive burst the sky was lit
A flaming radiance of heat filled the air
It flew through the night sky with fiery wings
And hunted with scorching talons and a searing beak
The rise of the phoenix in the beauty of fire
A true raptorial bird of prey
